Info: The 5th Annual Firefighter 5K Challenge will take place on Sunday, October 14th at the Vestal Coal House. Proceeds from this race benefit the Vestal Fire Company #1. This is a certified 5K course on the Vestal Rail Trail. This race is open to everyone, not just firefighters. Firefighter Department contests include most participants and fastest average time. The 2017 fastest Fire Department was Vestal Fire Company #1, and the Fire Department with the most participants was West Endicott Fire. Following the race, there will be music, door prizes, refreshments, and special awards hosted at the Vestal Fire Station next to the Coal House.
