Over 100 runners lined the Rail Trail at the 4th Annual Christmas Cookie Run on Saturday, December 16th, It was a festive atmosphere, with a few runners dressed as Santa’s, others in ugly sweaters, and even a full sleigh of reindeers. Hundreds of cookies were eaten post-race & runners enjoyed a fire juggler, Santa, and Christmas carolers post-race. Aaron Perry finished first overall with an outstanding time of 18:23 in his Coal House race debut, but it was Courtney Martin who stole the show with an incredible time of 18:35, a female course record at the Vestal Coal House/Rail Trail. The time edged out a blazing 18:41 time from Melissa Hardesty in the Marked for Greatness 5K in 2017. Congratulations to Courtney on this outstanding achievement. The male course record is held by Samuel Williams, with a time of 15:25, set at the 2016 Christmas Cookie Run.
